A few words about me

Vladyslav TEZYK Profile Picture

Intro

Formerly a PhD in Electrochemistry with 4 years of experience in the field of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs), I made the decision to pivot my career toward my passion: computer science, and more specifically, the creation of high-performance, user-centric web applications.
Today, with over 2 years of experience in this domain, I take pleasure in designing and developing bespoke applications.
Whether collaborating within teams or managing projects autonomously, my attention to detail and dedication to excellence ensure I consistently deliver exceptional results.
Outside of my professional duties, I am constantly seeking new knowledge and experimentation. I continue to sharpen my skills in conception, design, and development through personal projects, specialized reading, and technological watch.

Career

June 2009
Baccalaureate Degree (High School Diploma)
I grew up in a small rural area near Petrykivka, Ukraine (known for its decorative painting). At the age of 12, a weekend school trip allowed me to visit the capital for the first time. Since then, I never stopped dreaming of studying there. I prepared intensely and obtained my Baccalaureate, successfully passing the entrance exams for several universities.
September 2009 - July 2013
Bachelor's Degree in Electrochemistry
I was admitted to the National Technical University of Ukraine, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the most prestigious university in Ukraine. During my third year of studies, I discovered the opportunity to pursue my Master's degree in France, which marked the beginning of my preparations.
September 2013 - June 2015
Master's Degree in Solid State Chemistry
In 2013, I obtained my Bachelor's degree. Thanks to a regional scholarship from the Pays de la Loire region, I went to study at the Université du Maine. In 2015, I successfully completed my Master's degree and decided to pursue a research career in electrochemistry.
October 2015 - January 2019
PhD in Electrochemistry
During my thesis, I developed a growing interest in software development. After focusing on completing my research, I successfully defended my thesis titled "Study of the redox properties of LSCF by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry."
June 2019 - June 2022
PEMFC Research Engineer
After my PhD, I decided to gain experience at the intersection of research and product development in an industrial setting. As part of a client project, I benchmarked components. A key achievement was developing an accelerated aging test that allows the health status of the fuel cell core to be predicted in 200 hours, compared to at least 1000 hours previously, depending on the test protocol.
June 2022 - October 2023
PEMFC Development Engineer
Following the end of my contract at the CEA, an opportunity arose at Inocel, a start-up with 7 employees upon my arrival. The challenge was to industrialize a PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell) technology stemming from the CEA. My objective, which I successfully accomplished, was to find a perfect core component in an extremely short timeframe. However, the idea of moving into software development never left me. I finally decided to take the leap by taking out a loan to finance my first bootcamp and confirm my interest in this path.
November 2023 - November 2025
Full-Stack Developer Intern
I quickly fell in love with web development. At the end of the first 5 months of training, I successfully obtained the professional certification "Web and Mobile Applications Developer". I continued my career transition by learning to design applications from A to Z. At the end of my training, I successfully obtained my new professional certification "Application Designer Developer".
August 2024 - December 2025
Full-Stack Developer
Only 5 months after starting my first training course, I was hired by QuantedSquare to complete my apprenticeship. I contributed significantly to the redesign of the Odysway application (integration of the new design, migration from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3, from ButterCMS to Nuxt Content, and then to Sanity CMS), as well as ongoing maintenance and client support. I also contributed to the development of the Crown Procurement online auction platform.
